Whether you’re looking to express your creativity, or just save some cash this holiday season, handmade gifts are the perfect way to show you care! Giving someone a gift that you made yourself is a very thoughtful act, that will not only save you some money (and spare you from having to brave the malls at Christmas time!), but the recipient of your gift(s) will more than likely be very touched that you took the time to make something just for them!
However, maybe you’re feeling a little less than inspired at the moment when it comes to finding great DIY gift ideas. Well, you’re in luck, because I’ve taken the time to round up (#) different ideas for all kinds of handmade, do-it-yourself gift ideas for you! Make them for your friends, family, spouse, children, or maybe even for yourself!
1. Handmade Jewelry
This is a super simple, inexpensive, and easy to make gift idea that will go over well with just about any lady on your list! You can make a super cute necklace, bracelet, earrings, rings, or even a whole set, with just a couple dollars, and a little bit of creativity!
Not sure what to make? Check out this post I wrote with 3 different handmade jewelry projects you can make for UNDER 10 dollars!
2. Hand-Knitted or Crocheted Items!
Take it from me, knitting ain’t just for grandma’s anymore (wow, that must be just about the dorkiest thing I’ve ever said!). Depending on what you want to make, it may be one of the more time-consuming items on this list, but the options for projects are just about endless! If you don’t already know how to knit, or crochet, it may take a bit of time to get accustomed to the skill, but once you have it down, trust me, it’s addictive! If you’re a beginner to knitting, you may want to start with something simple such as a scarf (or maybe a blanket if you’ve got the time!), but really, if you can follow a pattern, you can make just about anything you’d like!

3. Homemade Bath Products
Because anyone who tells you they don’t like baths is probably lying! Maybe mom could use a night off with some home made bath salts, or bath bombs. Or maybe your sister deserves some pampering with a homemade face mask, or facial scrub. Whoever it is, and whatever they like, chances are, they’ve got a body and a face, that deserve to be taken care of! Luckily, there are tons of DIY projects for this purpose! Here are some that look absolutely luscious!
4. Handmade Scented Candles
In most cases, a candle can seem like a very typical, un-personal, run-of-the-mill gift. However, give someone a candle that you made YOURSELF, and boom. You are officially the gift-giving goddess! Whether you prefer scented candles (with infinite scent options to choose from) or unscented (just leave out the fragrance oils!), soy, beeswax, or even melted down Crayola candles, your options here are just about endless! Here are some fantastic looking DIY candle recipes:
5. Handmade Wall Art
This is another one where your possibilities are about as endless as your creativity. Whether it’s painting a picture, taking and framing a photograph, or even designing some beautiful, brush lettered quotes, everyone with a home more than likely has walls, and walls are a great place to hang some of your beautiful, handmade wall art! If you are feeling a little bit less than artistically inclined, first of all, I don’t believe you! But secondly, more than likely, all you need is a bit of inspiration! Here are some easy yet super chic looking pieces you can make for anyone on your list!
